SugarCRM Buys Revenue Intelligence Specialist sales-i

In San Francisco, sales automation platform SugarCRM has announced the acquisition of partner company sales-i, which provides a revenue intelligence solution helping businesses to maximize their revenue and profitability. Terms were not disclosed.

Craig CharltonSugarCRM offers customer intelligence software solutions for sales automation, marketing automation and customer service, and is backed by investor Accel-KKR; while sales-I provides a sales revenue intelligence tool that captures data on product, price, quantity and frequency from customers' enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

The two companies began working together a year ago, and together boast more than 550 employees worldwide. The combination will help customers unlock the value of their ERP data - specifically allowing them to see, interpret and act on their own customer data using the power of artificial intelligence (AI); serving as an intelligent account management system; and delivering 'actionable insights that increase sales and marketing efficiencies and effectiveness at a lower cost'.
