Datos and Exabel in Alternative Data Partnership

New York-based clickstream data products provider Datos has announced an integration partnership with financial sector alternative data research and workflow platform Exabel.

Eli GoodmanThe phrase 'alternative data' is used in the financial sector to describe information outside the traditional set of financial indicators (company results, investment, share prices etc) but increasingly used to supplement such data in the workings of financial analysts, investors and dealers. It includes market intelligence, brand equity data, trend analysis and other MR-related information.

Exabel's platform allows users to organise, analyse, visualize and transform alternative data, helping investment teams make better use of it and bringing together foundational, first party and partner data assets for KPI prediction, mapping, modelling and fundamental analysis. Datos' clickstream products track the desktop and mobile browsing behavior of tens of millions of users across the globe, providing anonymised analysis of consumer behavior including purchase intent, keyword trends and regional site traffic trends, across various verticals. The new partnership allows access to this to help teams identify trends, understand markets and assess company performance.

Exabel CEO Andreas Aglen says Datos' 'powerful and comprehensive web traffic datasets' are 'a must have addition for investors in their data mosaics for unique insights into consumer behaviors via clickstream data'.

Eli Goodman (pictured), CEO and co-founder of Datos says the partnership 'aligns with our strategic goal of democratizing access to sophisticated data analytics for investors and financial institutions'. In addition to expanding his firm's market reach and enhancing product usability, Goodman says it also builds upon the firm's aim 'to provide clients with not just data, but clear, actionable insights'.
