New CEO Europe and Americas for CARMA
London-based CARMA International, which provides media monitoring, PR measurement and communication evaluation services, has a new CEO for Europe and the Americas. Former Time Out Group exec Tim Webb replaces Richard Bagnall, who has stepped down after five and a half years.
CARMA provides clients with what it calls 'local context at an international scale', and its 650 employees in 21 offices include in-market, native speaker consultants for 'just about every country and language'.
Bagnall, who leaves this week, told online publication PRovoke Media it 'felt the right time to step back and do something different', and while giving no detail for the moment about what that means says he will 'still be very active in the sector'.
Webb (pictured) brings more than 27 years' experience in roles spanning sales, marketing, client service, product development, technology and executive leadership. He has spent nine of the last ten years at British media and events company Time Out Group, most recently as APAC MD and leader of the group's global franchising business. Earlier in his career he worked at macromedia, now Adobe; spent seven and a half years in marketing and Publishing Director roles at Incisive Media; and was International Digital Director at Dennis Publishing for two and a half years. In his new role he will join CARMA's Executive Committee.
CARMA's Global CEO Mazen Nahawi says Webb's 'extensive experience and entrepreneurial mindset will help lead the opening of new CARMA offices across Europe and America and accelerate fast-growing demand for CARMA's products & services in those markets'. He adds: 'Tim will also work in partnership with our IT, product and operations teams to deliver CARMA's unique combination of AI and human intelligence to C-suite professionals who increasingly require strategic insights which shape decision making and reputation management'.
