OMG ANZ Restructure Boosts Hearts & Science, Annalect
Marcoms giant Omnicom Media Group (OMG) is to fold its NSW, Australia-based agency Foundation into its global Hearts & Science brand. Foundation MD Liz Wigmore will head up the combined agency, allowing current Hearts & Science MD Darren Stein to focus on his role as CEO of data division Annalect.
Wigmore (pictured above) has been Foundation's MD for the last two years of her 15-year stint at the company, and will now serve as MD for Hearts & Science across Sydney and Melbourne. Until today, Stein has combined the Hearts MD role with serving as regional CEO for OMG's tech, data, measurement and insights services provider Annalect.
Wigmore, quoted on www.mumbrella.com.au , said: 'The Hearts & Science brand has always appealed to me since it was launched globally back in 2016. I believe creating emotional brand connection (the Heart) and maximising the potential of data and technology (the Science), is vital for brands in today's media landscape'. The firm was launched in Australia in 2019.
Annalect, which was launched as long ago as 2010 with the aim of providing 'better consumer insights, more precise audience targeting, and more effective media investment strategies' for Omnicom clients, has always supported Hearts & Science, along with other OMG agencies.
Stein (pictured below) joined five years ago as ANZ CEO, having previously worked as CEO of Cadreon after its merger with insights and analytics agency Anomoly in 2016, and prior to this was Director, Insights, Analytics and Strategy at News Corp Australia. He left to head up Forethought in July 2021 but returned to OMG in March last year in the dual role. In his new more focused role he will continue to work with the Hearts & Science team, leading digital and data transformation for clients across Australia and New Zealand.
