IA Promotes for COO and Membership Director Roles

US MR trade body The Insights Association has promoted Nicole Symelidis to Chief Operating Officer, and Meg Collins to Director of Membership.

The association says the promotions reflect its commitment to excellent member service and sustained growth, and recognize the significant contributions and leadership qualities of both individuals.

Symelidis (pictured) has worked exclusively in research industry associations: she served in an administrative position at the Council for Marketing & Opinion Research (CMOR), and then for fifteen years with CASRO (the Council of American Survey Research Organizations), in multiple roles supporting events, publications, membership and operations. Since these two organisations merged in 2017 to form the IA, Symelidis has served in dual roles as SVP of Operations and Membership.

In her new role as COO, she will oversee operational functions, ensuring 'efficiency, innovation, optimal member service, and strategic alignment across all departments'. CEO Melanie Courtright says Symelidis has 'unsurpassed knowledge' of the association and its value for members and the industry as a whole. She continues: 'She has established strong ties with so many of our member company executives, our Board of Directors, Chapter leaders, Committee volunteers, and many others. She has earned their respect by being responsive and thoughtful. Her professionalism has also earned deep trust and appreciation from everyone on the IA team'.

Collins has also worked at the IA since its foundation in 2017, and before that served at CASRO, managing its database, taking charge of many events and working on marketing and communications. In her new position she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of member engagement, retention and growth; and will oversee budget and lead initiatives to enhance member experiences. According to Coutright: 'Meg sees all that we do through the eyes of our members and is quick to point out any sticking points or areas of confusion or frustration. Combining that empathy with a tireless work ethic and a friendly, fun, sincere personality, she has endeared herself to our members and staff. Always willing to do what it takes to help anyone at any time, she is uniquely qualified to lead our membership team and drive forward our mission of delivering unparalleled value'.
