In New York, the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) has appointed Mark Truss, Chief Research Officer at VML, as the new Chair of its Board of Directors.
Truss (pictured) succeeds Nishat Mehta, and brings experience in research, insights and brand intelligence. At VML he has led initiatives to uncover consumer and cultural insights and drive impactful communications across various media channels. He also serves on bodies such as the ANA's Educational Foundation and the Ad Council's Research Committee; and as an adjunct professor at Columbia University and NYU.
The organisation's CEO & President Scott McDonald says of the appointment: 'Mark's visionary leadership and deep industry expertise make him the perfect choice to lead the ARF's Board'.
Comscore's Bill Livek also joins the Board as Treasurer, as do Directors Neha Bhargava from Meta, Colleen Fahey Rush from Paramount and Steven Millman from Dynata. Separately the Board of Trustees has added six new members: Cartier Stennis from X, Claire Browne from Adelaide, Julie DeTraglia from Netflix, Lily Tong from Amazon, Mainak Mazumdar from FOX and Radha Subramanyam from CBS.
McDonald states: 'We're excited to welcome all of our new board members and officers, and we're so appreciative of the time, expertise and leadership they lend to the ARF.
