Britain's ABC Adds Two to Board
UK-based media auditor and ad currency provider ABC has strengthened its Board with the addition of James Chandler, CMO of IAB UK, and Paul Sinker who is Director of Communications at the News Media Association (NMA).
The ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations) sets standards and verifies both data and processes for media brands and intermediaries across multiple platforms. The Board, which aims to ensure both that ABC is run effectively and that it serves the needs of the industry appropriately, includes representatives from agencies, advertisers, media owners and trade bodies, nominated by five industry associations: the IPA, ISBA, NMA, PPA and IAB UK.
Chandler (pictured below) will represent the needs of publishers, ad tech providers, agencies and brands working within digital advertising. He brings experience from firms including Mindshare, where he rose through the ranks to become Global Mobile Director as well as leading Unilever's digital account globally.
Sinker (pictured above) will speak for the needs of the UK's national, regional and local news media organisations. He has worked for seventeen years at the NMA, which promotes the interests of news media publishers to government, regulatory authorities, industry bodies and others.
ABC Chief Executive Simon Redlich says: 'We're thrilled to welcome James and Paul to the ABC board. Their expertise and understanding of the sectors they represent will be invaluable in helping us continue to shape ABC's products and services in line with the needs of media owners, agencies, brands and ad tech providers working in today's dynamic media landscape'. He adds: 'I'd also like to thank their predecessors, Tim Elkington and Lynne Anderson, for making such an important contribution to ABC's evolution during their time on the board. We wish them all the best for the future'.
