CX Exec is New CIO For Macy's

In the US, department store chain Macy's Inc. is promoting Keith Credendino, to Chief Information Officer, succeeding Laura Miller who is retiring. Credendino moves up on August 4th.

Keith CredendinoHeadquartered in New York City, Macy's Inc. operates more than 740 stores across the US and online under the Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury names, offering high-end fashion brands, plus housewares, gifts and furniture in select stores. The company is going through turbulent times, battling a takeover bid worth at least $6.6bn led by investor Arkhouse Management, and has recently made major changes to its top management and announced plans to close around 150 stores over the next few years.

Credendino (pictured) is currently SVP Technology Product Development, Customer Experience, having joined the chain in 2022, and has supported its digital marketplace in improving its customer understanding and personalization its communications. He has also helped to boost customer experience both in-store and online at Macy's and Bloomingdale's, according to the group. Prior to joining, he was SVP of Digital Technology and Enterprise Data at multi-brand global restaurant company Inspire Brands, where his role including overseeing the company's cloud-native big data platform and initiatives. Earlier he worked at The Home Depot, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), and Cox Enterprises. He holds a Management Information Systems Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Georgia State University.

In his new role, reporting to COO and CFO Adrian V. Mitchell, Credendino will lead the team in the group's ongoing transformation to a data-driven organization, with a focus on modernizing systems, delivering efficiencies, and improving the overall omnichannel customer experience.
