Semrush Buys German Web Site UX Platform Ryte

Boston, US-based Semrush Holdings Inc. has announced the acquisition of Munich, Germany-based web site UX platform Ryte - for an undisclosed sum.

Ryte helps clients optimize their web site User Experience, focusing on six key areas: SEO, quality assurance, performance, sustainability, accessibility, and compliance. Established in 2012 by Andy Bruckschloegl, Niels Dörje, Marcus Tandler and Jan-Hendrik Reichenbacher, the firm promises an end-to-end solution for optimisation.

Semrush helps companies measure, manage and optimise their online visibility via an SaaS platform covering SEO, pay-per-click, content, social media and competitive research campaigns. The firm, which has just reported Q1 revenue of $85.8m, up 21% year-on-year, has more than a thousand staff spread across offices in four US cities and in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Belgrade, Berlin, Limassol, Prague, Warsaw and Yerevan. In March 2022 it announced the acquisition of Austin, TX-based competitive intelligence automation specialist Kompyte.

The latest deal is expected to open up new sales opportunities for Ryte, giving access to Semrush's extensive customer base for cross-selling. For Semrush, the buy extends the capabilities of its newly announced Enterprise SEO Platform by integrating Ryte's advanced crawling technology; and strengthens its commitment to helping large businesses significantly enhance their digital marketing operations, productivity and online visibility.
