Funds for Customer Contact Analyst Momentum
San Francisco-based customer intelligence firm Momentum has secured $13m in Series A funding, which it will use to expand its engineering teams, build in more AI and automation capabilities, boost its marketing and hire a head of sales.
Momentum was founded in 2020 by husband and wife team Santiago Suarez Ordoñez and Ashley Wilson, along with engineering lead Moiz Virani. Its software integrates 'seamlessly' into clients' existing tech stacks and allows them to automatically capture customer intelligence via call recordings, emails and Slack, then analyse them to predict and prevent customer churn, spot risks, streamline processes and automate routine tasks.
The funding was led by FirstMark Capital, along with Stage 2 Capital, and the firm's 2021 seed round investors Basis Set Ventures and Leadout Capital also participated. Amish Jani, FirstMark co-founder and Managing Partner, and Stage 2 Partner Mandy Cole will join the Momentum board.
'The traction and incredible retention we're seeing can only come from driving real impact for our customers', says Suarez Ordoñez, 'and what makes me most excited is that we've just uncovered the tip of what's possible'.
