Conference and Consulting Units Lead Gartner Growth
Gartner has reported results for the second quarter of the year, with revenue up 6.9% (constant currency) to $1.6bn, and adjusted EBITDA up 9.8% to $416m.
On the same basis, revenue in the group's largest division, Research, grew a relatively modest 5.5% to $1,266m, while Conferences and Consulting both delivered double digit growth (up 10.8% to $186m and up 14.9% to $143m, respectively).
The results are a slight improvement on Q1 figures (revenue up 4.6% to $1.473bn and EBITDA up 1.7% to $382m), but both quarters have been slow by Gartner's own very high standards.
CEO Gene Hall, who a month ago was given the additional role of Chairman, comments: 'Contract value in the second quarter grew high single digits, accelerating from Q1. Revenue, Adjusted EBITDA, and Adjusted EPS were ahead of expectations. We remain well-positioned to drive long-term, sustained, double-digit growth built on delivering actionable, objective insight to help our clients address their mission-critical priorities'.
