New MD for Norstat Poland
European data collection firm Norstat has appointed Marek Szymańński as Managing Director for its business in Poland, effective immediately.
Norstat was founded in 1997 and taps a network of more than four million panel members across nineteen countries. The firm has made seven acquisitions in the last two and a half years, including UK company Panelbase, which was rebranded with the Norstat name in January. In April, Norstat itself was acquired by Nordic and DACH-focused small and medium-sized business specialist Nalka Invest, in partnership with minority shareholder Kirk Kapital.
Szymański (pictured) brings experience of business management, marketing and digital media from companies including Bauer Media Group and Polska Press Grupa, and has been a professional user of market research data for many years. In his new role he will focus on delivering high quality data to customers in Poland.
Tue Meier-Poulsen, the group's Regional Director North, comments: 'Poland is a key market for Norstat, and Marek's extensive experience in business development and operational excellence is exactly what we need to take Norstat Poland to the next level. I am confident he will strengthen our market position as a supplier of outstanding data quality and exceptional client service. Marek's many years of experience with digital products, marketing and media will be a great asset in the continued growth of our digital solutions, such as Norstat Express and Dashboards'.
