Jibunu Launches Emoji Video Feedback Tool

MR services and tech provider Jibunu has added an emoji-based video feedback tool, allowing respondents to express their feelings while watching a video, and researchers to view frequency plots, review videos and filter by emoji types, among other features.

Ken BerryHeadquartered in Fitchburg, MA, the firm was launched in 2003 and designs and develops custom market research tools and methodologies to meet the needs of individual clients, including solutions for complex projects involving conjoint, max-diff, adaptive, KANO, diary studies, advanced logic or graphic / multimedia needs, and multiple languages. This year it has added MR-LEAP, a solution designed to redefine efficiency in survey programming services, and in June AI capabilities to its platform, including chatbots, image and concept generation, and automated coding of open-ended responses.

The new offering replaces numeric rating scales with a variety of emotion-based emojis to express their feelings while watching a video, for a 'more intuitive and engaging feedback method'. Researchers can view the raw data, or a single page plot of the responses, highlighting the frequency of each emoji selection throughout the video; set a time interval and watch a playback of the video, displaying respondent usage of each emoji in real-time to visualize the results; and filter specific emojis for targeted analysis of emotional responses throughout the video.

Founder and CEO Ken Berry (pictured) comments: 'As a research services company with software development chops, we pride ourselves on using our technology to creatively enhance the respondent experience while providing the best data for research teams. This offering is another example of our commitment to both'.
