AI-based Research Tool Cycle Acquired

US blockchain company Crossmint has recently acquired user research firm Cycle AI, whose founder Conor Plunkett joins the Crossmint team.

Crossmint provides tools for companies looking to build products on blockchain in short time-frames, consolidating their requirements into a single platform: these tools include asset tokenization, wallet, identity and payment solutions. The firm says more and more of its clients are 'working at the intersection of crypto and AI', bringing increased demand for cryptography tools for verification and authenticity from publishers, brands, and consumers.

Canada-based Cycle AI is a recent start-up offering AI-powered user research surveys and analysis, and Crossmint says the buy is part of a strategy to enhance its platform with AI capabilities, and help clients building crypto-based AI applications. In addition to Cycle's technology and tools, co-founder and CEO Plunkett (pictured) will be joining the Crossmint team. Plunkett, whose career has included spells as a construction worker, software engineer, fund manager and venture capital associate, in addition to founding or co-founding multiple firms, returns to another previous job title as Product Manager.
