F-Words for Ford's New Firm: Fierce, Fearless and Fresh
London-based researcher Graeme Ford has set up his own business, PunkMRX, described as 'the rebels of market research, breaking the mould to deliver insights with edge'. This will include helping clients to make use of chat platforms, synthetic data and personas, and customisable communities.
Ford was a lecturer in social sciences at Oxford Brookes University for nearly four years before joining the research industry in 2005, initially in the entertainment sector. He worked as Head of Insight and Social Media at mobile retailer Phones4u for two years and briefly at two other London agencies before joining YouGov in June 2013 as Director of its Profiles brand. He left in 2017 to co-found audience engagement platform inconvo, but the firm was then sold to YouGov in September 2018 and Ford rejoined as Global Head of Research Innovation, a role he filled until April this year.
PunkMRX boasts 'a fierce commitment to bold thinking and innovative methodologies', and aims 'to shake up the market research scene with fresh ideas and fearless analysis'.
With no apparent web site to date, Ford says he is 'on the hunt for a product designer to work on a new and exciting consumer focused website / web app' and is 'keen to speak to people who are dedicated and focused on the understandings of UX and UI, user-centred design principles, interactive design, and responsive design. Please share and spread the word'. Done that then.
