Insights Family Growing Manchester HQ Team

Kids and family market intelligence firm The Insights Family has announced the expansion of its Manchester, UK headquarters operations with the recent appointments of Adam Woodgate, Stephen Finch, Sophie Tanner, Andrew Roocroft and Victoria Cookson.

Image L to R: Andrew Roocroft, Sophie Tanner, Stephen Finch, Adam WoodgateThe firm, which includes brands Kids Insights and Parents Insights, provides real-time data on the attitudes, behaviour and consumption patterns of kids, teens, parents and families, based on interviews with c.700,000 family members each year, now from 22 countries on six continents.

The raft of senior hires follows a £5.6m investment in January this year from UK and Ireland growth capital investor BGF, and complements half a dozen appointments in London and New York last month.

Woodgate joins as VP of Research Solutions and brings expertise in programming, content creation and media research to the role, in which he will oversee the research solutions team.He has spent the last eleven years at games studio Dubit, much of it as SVP Media Insights, and earlier spent time at BBC Worldwide and at Emap Performance where he was Group Head of Research from 2001-5. He began his career working in programme and content audience research for LWT, and also worked in content creation for radio stations in the US, London and Liverpool.

Finch takes the role of VP of Product with thirteen years of experience in product management using data science and machine learning, including spells at ResponseTap, dunnhumby, UCAS and most recently Shopify data firm Audiens. Tanner joins as VP of Marketing, with experience from c. five years apiece at Thomson Reuters and The Business of Fashion, where she led marketing for the subscription and events business. Earlier she was a Customer Service Advisor and then Marketing Executive at Everton Football Club, in an eight-year stint with The Toffees.

Roocroft becomes VP of Finance, with a decade of experience with high-growth finance teams, most recently at Gartner Magic Quadrant software businesses Blue Prism and Dematic Software. He trained as a Chartered Accountant at Grant Thornton in Manchester and Paris. Cookson takes the role of People & Culture Manager, having served previously at Resonance Labs and Havas Lynx, and brings experience in AI and digital agencies, managing HR strategies and large-scale culture initiatives for global businesses.

Insights Family CEO Tom Williams says each person brings 'a wealth of experience and expertise' to the business, and adds: 'Together with the great team we already have in place here, they will enable us to enhance our product development capabilities, drive business growth and further recruit the best talent'. Founder Nick Richardson says the appointments are 'of critical importance as we look to move our business to the next level, helping us to drive our ambitious growth plans'.
