More Power for Discuss' Genie

In Seattle, WA, research firm Discuss has announced the Fall upgrade for its platform, further reducing analysis time and adding new collaboration and sharing features.

Adam MertzThe firm's AI assistant Genie gets it biggest 'leap' forward since launching in May last year, and now provides summaries and relevant quotes specific to questions it is told to focus on, whether they are part of the interview / guide or have been thought of post-fieldwork. Genie now offers a 'more chat-like' experience and allows researchers to analyze and compare insight summaries across segments, countries or interviews. For example, the firm says a brand could ask Genie 'How do shopping behaviors for sustainable products differ between Gen Z and Millennials across the US, Spain and Japan?'

The new version also allows the input of research that was started outside the platform, automatically identifying the unique speakers within a machine-generated transcript, and then allowing the same analysis features as for other research. The process of launching surveys has been speeded up, with new options to import discussion guides, and each new project is now customized to match a company's pre-defined needs and subscription level.

Chief Growth Officer Adam Mertz comments: 'We couldn't be more excited about our biggest innovation on the GenAI front since our initial launch of Genie last year. What's equally exciting is our focus on ease of use. Our new project setup wizard offers our customers the most intuitive, user-friendly way for quickly getting research projects going and connecting with target audiences in an instant'.
