New Glow Partnership Gives Further (Green) Fuel to SRS
In Melbourne, sustainability and social impact communications specialist 3BL and its digital media division TriplePundit have announced a partnership with research platform Glow, aiming to help businesses 'measure, maximise and monetise' their sustainability efforts.
Agile research company Glow began development of a metric called the Social Responsibility Score (SRS) in 2021, and earlier this year announced its intention to roll it out as a standardized, cross-industry initiative, with firms including Kantar and PwC Australia already on board. SRS aims to help business leaders link sustainability to customer and employee loyalty, as investment in ESG and sustainability programs continues to rise. The metric has now been deployed in more than 25 million brand interviews across 3 markets.
3BL partners with more than 1,500 companies and organisations to promote their performance in responsible business - this includes news and content distribution, bespoke storytelling support, and publishing arm TriplePundit. The new deal integrates SRS into 3BL's services, promising clients the ability to 'identify risks and seize commercial opportunities from sustainability'. The first result of this is a dataset supporting 3BL's annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking, currently celebrating its 25th year of highlighting the largest publicly traded US companies 'excelling in sustainability disclosure'. The data shows that these firms have outperformed the S&P500 for the past two years by 4.22% - but they still struggle to communicate their policies to the public.
3BL CEO Charlie Wilkie (pictured top) comments: 'The recent launch of our Platinum product has reshaped the way we work with clients to improve their sustainability and social impact communications. The Glow partnership is a critical enabler on that journey and helps us deliver trusted insights to empower our clients to make informed decisions about their communications programs. We are excited to collaborate with a partner committed to driving positive, meaningful action'. Glow CEO Tim Clover (below) comments: 'In today's environment, many businesses are reluctant to communicate their sustainability efforts. This data set demonstrates that many businesses run the risk of 'greenhushing', which not only contradicts consumer expectations but also poses commercial risks. We are excited to be working with 3BL to surface what consumers, customers, and employees want from businesses so we can make change happen faster'.
Glow was founded in Australia and now also has offices in the UK and the US. The firm is online at www.glowfeed.com , while its new partner can be found at www.3bl.com / www.triplepundit.com . SRS has its own home page at www.socialresponsibilityscore.com .
