Smooth Transition for Conflict Zone Researcher D3

US full service market and social science research company D3 has been acquired by two of its C-suite execs and longtime employees, Matthew Warshaw and Kelley Milligan Kline; while founder and former CEO David Jodice has left the company. The firm says the transition has been in planning for 'years'.

Matthew Warshaw and Kelley Milligan KlineD3 (Designs, Data, Decisions) is known for its research in conflict regions and other challenging environments, on behalf of clients including the US government, international development organizations, cross-sector think tanks and international media organizations. Clients include the US Departments of Defense and State, USAID, NATO, the World Bank, the United Nations, the ICRC, the BBC and META.

Former COO Warshaw (pictured left), who is now CEO, and while helping it to grow to more than 50 people has led projects in countries such as Brazil, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Haiti, India, Mexico, Sudan, Taiwan, Ukraine and Venezuela. He has helped the company to develop nationwide research capacity in Iraq and Afghanistan, led its expansion into Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia, and led the development of multilingual telephone interviewing centers for cross-border polling. He currently Chairs the Board of Advisors for the Dean of the School of International Service at American University.

Kline (pictured right), who remains CFO, is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years of professional finance experience including strategic planning, international financial management, forecasting, financial analyses, contract planning, project management, and tax and auditing procedures. Her role has included management of D3's investments in new initiatives, business viability, and foreign/domestic tax implications. She also oversees risk management, cost-benefit analyses and the security functions for the company.
