Peter Harris Takes CEO Role at Advantage Group
B2B engagement solutions firm Advantage Group International (AGI) has announced a change of CEO. Current Chief John McLoughlin is moving to the role of Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, while Peter Harris, who has served as CRO since 2021, takes over the CEO role on January 1st.
Established in 1989 and headquartered in Canada, Advantage Group helps suppliers and retail partners work together with the help of data, feedback and strategy consulting. McLoughlin joined the firm in 2006 and has since launched its Australian business and led the development of markets in the Middle East and Asia Pacific. He became CEO in 2020.
Harris (pictured) was EVP and MD for Asia Pacific at Vision Critical (now Alida) before joining AGI in 2022, and has also served as CEO of Potentiate and MD of research firm Colmar Brunton (now part of Kantar). In the last two and a half years he has led the expansion of Advantage's Custom Solutions business, and the launch of AQAI, an AI-based feature helping clients to make better use of qualitative feedback from their business partners.
Board Chair John Shanahan says of the changes: 'During his tenure, John and his team have taken our organization to a completely new level. John's strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental. His accomplishments span nearly all aspects of our business. We now have a foundation that presents multiple opportunities to deepen and extend our contribution to clients, new business sectors, and Advantagers' McLoughlin himself states: 'It has been a privilege to lead this organization. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved and grateful for the support I have had from our clients and Advantagers... I am excited to continue contributing to AGI in a new capacity and believe this is the right time to pass the torch to ensure the company's continued success'.
