NOP Future Under Review (... Official)
NOP World's parent company United Business Media plc (UBM) has issued a short statement confirming that financial advisers, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Allen & Company LLC will conduct a strategic review of options for the research company.
Rumours about a possible sale of NOP began to circulate more than a week ago, following announcements about the departure of Lord Hollick to join a venture capital company.
The statement says the review will 'examine a number of alternatives to maximise the value of NOP World for UBM shareholders including developing NOP World further, expanding NOP World through strategic alliances or a sale', adding that a further announcement will be made 'when appropriate'.
