OzTAM to Launch VOZ Streaming Service Next Week

Australian television measurement body OzTAM will launch its VOZ Streaming service in a week's time, 25th November, providing an enhanced and customised multi-broadcaster programmatic BVOD trading solution for advertisers and media agencies.

Karen HalliganThe organisation says BVOD services (broadcaster video on demand)) now reach around 11 million people each month. First announced last summer as an enhancement of Virtual Australia service (VOZ), VOZ Streaming provides full access to the country's free-to-air commercial BVOD inventory and will allow users to trade it across 7plus, 9Now, 10 play and SBS On Demand using a privacy-safe common OzTAM demographic dataset. The VOZ Total TV database can then be used to analyse the incremental reach BVOD delivers to broadcast television campaigns.

Further enhancements are due next year, including advertiser first-party data matching via VOZ Streaming's partnership with Snowflake's Data Clean Rooms environment; activation of co-viewers; and the onboarding of additional platforms both supply and demand side. CEO Karen Halligan (pictured) says the service has been shaped by extensive industry consultations, with companies 'responding to the call for a streamlined, universal approach to programmatic BVOD trading across the networks'. She comments: 'This launch sees BVOD inventory aggregated at scale, representing a significant innovation for the industry as we continue to prepare for the launch of VOZ as trading currency on 29th December, 2024'.
