Former Ebiquity CEO Waters Joins Making Science
In London, ad tech and data company Making Science has announced that former Ebiquity CEO Nick Waters will join as CEO for the UK, Northern and Central Europe, as of February next year.
Making Science is headquartered in Madrid and employs more than 1,200 people at locations across eleven European countries as well as Mexico, Colombia, Georgia and the USA. The company has four business lines: a digital ad agency integrating strategic planning, creative, data and technology; a cloud, software and cybersecurity business; an AI and SaaS division employing more than 400 engineers and data scientists for the development of marketing-focused platforms and digital solutions; and an investment arm working with Ventis and TMQ. Last year the group, whose services include web and app measurement, on and off channel data measurement and CRM consulting, brought in former Head of Google Analytics 360 Toby McAra as Chief Revenue Officer.
Waters (pictured) will be based in London, and take responsibility for driving the company's growth and expansion across Europe. He brings more than twenty years of experience in international media, digital and advertising: prior to Ebiquity he spent ten years at Dentsu Aegis Network, latterly as Executive Chairman UK & Ireland, and twelve years at Mindshare, rising to regional CEO of EMEA.
Media investment analyst Ebiquity said this week that it was promoting Chief Strategy Officer and CPO Ruben Schreurs to replace Waters as Group Chief Executive.
Making Science founder and Global CEO José Antonio Martínez Aguilar comments: 'We're thrilled to have Nick on board as a driving force for the UK, Northern and Central European regions at a time of significant growth as an independent agency. His experience will be crucial for strategically advancing the continued development of Making Science in these markets'.
