Brainstork Upgrades for End-to-End Platform

Berlin-based video data collection platform Brainstork has added new platform features and announced a major upgrade. It now provides clients with an end-to-end suite of qualitative tools from data collection to analysis and reporting.

The firm was founded in 2019 by Eray Tufan (pictured) and Onur Ekici, and helps clients conduct user and customer research, including recruitment and management of multi-country research projects; online focus groups, in depth interviews and usability tests, transcription, analysis and dissemination of results worldwide. In April the company hired Ben Leet as UK Partnership Lead, on a freelance or 'fractional' basis.

As of this month the platform has added asynchronous data collection - clients can now collect data off-line through a series or tasks or prompts that are pushed to participants via WhatsApp, bringing synchronous and asynchronous data collection together in one platform. There are also a number of new analysis and reporting features making use of proprietary AI - these include the auto-generation of transcriptions in more than 120 languages, inductive and deductive coding, sentiment analysis, exact / semantic search and the automated production of video highlights reels.

Says Tufan, 'We have been working very closely with our clients on a design-led approach to our technology roadmap, and it was clear that they really wanted an end-to-end platform solution.
