Funds for B2B Call Distillation Specialist Retellio

Canadian firm Retellio, a provider of B2B customer conversation mining software, has secured $1.3m in funding with which to continue development of its product and expand its business.

Funds for B2B Call Distillation Specialist RetellioRetellio was founded this year by CEO Brent Pretty and COO Andrea King - Pretty was part of the team responsible for Verafin, a financial fraud detection company which was eventually sold to Nasdaq, while King has experience as a founder and leader, building startups and guiding teams. Retellio's platform extracts key moments from hundreds of hours of a company's calls and turns them into weekly 30-minute podcasts, including illustrative verbatim snippets, allowing management to stay in touch with their customers.

The round was led by Pelorus Ventures, with participation from others including Island Capital, East Valley Ventures, The51, and the Women's Equity Lab.

'It's nearly impossible for leaders at high-growth companies to keep up with every customer conversation' says Pretty. 'I've seen firsthand the game-changing impact of truly listening to what customers have to say. We want to take that behavior and make it scalable. Our mission is to make understanding customer feedback as effortless and engaging as listening to your favorite podcast'.
