Senior Hires for Real-Time Data Quality Firm DQC

In Salt Lake City, quality measurement and certification tech company Data Quality Co-Op (DQC) has appointed Venu Bendapudi as Head of Sales, Market Research, and Katie Casavant as Head of Commercial.

In the autumn, the firm secured a first funding round, totalling $1.25m, with which to develop its platform functioning as 'the insights industry's first independent clearinghouse for data quality measurement'. Its platform offers continuous quality measurement and real-time quality certification by aggregating, analyzing, and benchmarking data quality signals to help MR clients understand and manage the quality of their data.

Bendapudi (pictured left) brings more than twenty years' MR industry experience, including sales across business and consumer research in verticals including healthcare, media, retail, finance and IT. He worked most recently for a year as VP of Sales USA at RONIN International, and for the fourteen years prior to this held Sales and Client Development roles at Course5i. Also a former employee of Pulse Group and MetrixLab, he has worked in India, the US, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai.

Casavant (pictured right) spent fifteen years at Kantar, latterly six years as CEO of its Shopcom division and two as CEO of Kantar Activate. Since leaving the global group in 2019 she has served as President of 0ptimus Analytics and spent two and a half year in senior roles at Dynata, which acquired 0ptimus in 2021. In her new role she will lead DQC's commercial strategy, oversee go-to-market planning, and manage business development and customer relationships.
