YouGov Promotes to Create DACH CEO Role
YouGov has promoted Matthias Gross to CEO for the DACH region, driving and overseeing commercial strategy and leading its teams there.
He brings thirty years of experience to the role, having joined the company a year ago as EVP of Sales when it acquired the consumer panels business of GfK (CPS GfK). He spent a decade at the latter, helping the firm to identify and capitalise on key opportunities and partnerships, and leading high-performing commercial teams. Before joining in 2014 he worked at Nielsen, and client side at coffee firms Tchibo and Melitta.
He joins CEOs Will Ullstein (UK) and Julien Chevignon (Europe) on the senior commercial leadership team in Europe, all reporting to YouGov Chief Commercial Officer Tom Fisher who comments: 'I am delighted that Matthias is our new DACH CEO. He brings a deep understanding of how quality data shows customers the reality of their worlds. With his wealth of experience across the broad spectrum of market research and intelligence - from rich shopper data to quant and qual - he is the right person to lead the region as YouGov fully harnesses the opportunities CPS GfK data presents'.
Gross says the addition of CPS GfK with its rich shopper data makes this 'an exciting time to be leading YouGov in DACH'. YouGov's absorption of the acquired business has significantly deepened its footprint across DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), tripling its revenue - it is now one of the group's largest markets worldwide.
YouGov has operations in the US, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, India and Asia Pacific, and is online at https://business.yougov.com .
