OzTam CEO Halligan to Chair Charity Body UnLtd

In Australia, UnLtd, the charity body for the media, marketing and creative industries, has appointed OzTAM Chief Executive Karen Halligan as Chair of its Board of Directors, starting this month. She has served on the organisation's Board of Directors for six years.

Karen HalliganFounded in 2006, the organisation connects the sector with charities in Australia and New Zealand helping children and young people at risk. Its activities include fund-raising events, organisatio of volunteering, corporate partnerships and donations, and a jobs program.

Halligan (pictured) has been 15 months in the OzTam role, leading Australia's video audience measurement body, and was previously a Partner at KPMG. She states: 'I'm honoured to assume the role of chair at this pivotal and transformative moment in UnLtd's journey. The next stage will see UnLtd move to a more cause-centric model, leveraging the collective power and expertise of our industry on a larger scale, to drive meaningful and lasting societal change. Creating a brighter and more equitable future for the next generation is a cause that resonates deeply with me and I'm looking forward to guiding the team and the Board as we transition to UnLtd 2.0.'

Halligan joins founder Kerry McCabe, Paul Sigaloff, Kristiaan Krron, Mark Coad, Justin Graham and Professor Maree Teesson on the new Board. She replaces co-chairs Adam Furness and Rebecca Darley, who between them have served the organisation for more than 30 years, and helped to achieve 'more than $380m of social impact value' over the past two decades, according to news publisher mumbrella.com.au .
