Former YouGov Execs Team for Sports, Tourism Insights
Singapore-based digital survey and brand tracking tech company Milieu Insight has announced an exclusive partnership with research agency GSIQ, aiming to enhance data-driven decision-making for clients in the sports and tourism industries.
Launched in 2017 by former GfK and YouGov exec Gerald Ang, and propelled by venture capital wins in 2019 and 2021 totalling almost $7.5m, Milieu offers tools for survey design and distribution, analysis, data visualization and reporting via its Canvas platform, and access to 'Portraits' profiling data from a panel of more than two million Southeast Asian consumers. Ang recently moved to the role of COO while former YouGov Global COO Sundip Chahal has come on board as CEO. Chahal's experience includes scaling businesses and fostering strategic partnerships.
GSIQ was launched in London in May last year by Charlie Dundas and Joshua Marcus, also veterans of YouGov, while its Chairman Frank Saez served as YouGov's CRO having previously run SMG Insight. The firm consists of two divisions, Sports & Sponsorship, and Tourism Insights.
The new partnership brings together Milieu's advanced audience profiling and analytics tools with GSIQ's sector expertise to address challenges surrounding the understanding of consumer behavior trends and the delivery of personalized experiences. GSIQ will get exclusive access to Milieu's research tools, and the two firms will jointly release white papers and thought leadership content.
'We have been deeply impressed by Milieu's technical expertise and their team's impressive achievements over the past seven years' says Saez. 'Milieu's tools offer an intuitive user experience that aligns perfectly with our mission to bring best-in-class solutions to the sports and tourism markets'.
