Wiland Unveils Fan Base Insights and Engagement Tool
In the US, audience insights firm Wiland has launched FanSignals, which promises to help professional sports teams, leagues and entertainment organizations understand, engage and monetize their fan base. The new product taps the firm's proprietary transactional data and predictive modeling capabilities.
Wiland offers data and audience products founded on what it describes as 'the largest set of detailed, individual-level spending signals ever assembled'. This dataset is analysed by an AI-enabled response prediction platform to help clients target their marketing initiatives across 'all addressable channels'. In summer 2023 it launched purchase prediction suite Wiland View, and six months ago it entered a partnership with CX and personalization solutions firm OneMagnify.
FanSignals is based on Wiland's MarketSignals platform, which analyzes aggregated data from billions of consumer transactions. The new product should help companies optimize fan engagement, ticket sales and sponsorship strategies. For teams and leagues, this includes converting casual attendees into lifelong supporters, strengthening loyalty and increasing season ticket renewals, and ensuring promotions reach the right audience at the right time. For advertisers and sponsors can use it to help identify and reach highly engaged sports audiences, maximize sponsorship ROI with predictive consumer insights, and create brand-building fan experiences that extend beyond the game.
Mike Gingell (pictured), the firm's CEO since May of last year, describes the new tool as 'a major breakthrough for the sports and entertainment industry, providing unprecedented insights into fan behavior'. Andre Murphy, VP of Sports and Entertainment, adds: 'Understanding who your fans are and how they engage beyond the stadium is crucial for long-term success. FanSignals provides sports teams, sports leagues, and brands with the insights they need to build stronger connections with their audiences and unlock new revenue opportunities through more effective targeting and personalization'.
