Norstat Hires Netherlands MD

European data collection group Norstat has appointed Hans van Avendonk as Managing Director of its business in the Netherlands, continuing strong recent investment in Benelux. He joins on 1st March.

Hans van AvendonkNorstat was established in Oslo in 1997 and has expanded to include the rest of Scandinavia and the Baltics, Poland, Germany, the UK, Ireland, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria and Italy. In 2021 it made two Dutch acquisitions, CG Research and Respondenten, and last week it opened an office in Belgium, with France MD Romain Barbet adding its management to his responsibilities.

van Avendonk (pictured) brings more than twenty years of experience in business development, management, marketing, data and technology, most recently from tech consultancy ADC Consulting, where he was Country Manager. He worked in client service roles at ad agencies DDB and Grey Group prior to 2010 when he joined Nationale Nederlanden Group, a financial services company based in The Hague. In 2016 he joined travel brand Landal Green Parks where he worked for four years as Director of Marketing Communication. In 2021 he spent nine months chairing a task force for digital ad association the IAB, focused on the applicability of technology and insights from data on creativity over the full process of an ad campaign.
