Verve Readies for 'Game Changer' Launch with Senior Hire

In London, Verve has announced the appointment of Sophie Goddard as Executive Director leading development of CoLab, a new model which the firm says will address the MR industry's challenges with respondent quality.

Sophie GoddardVerve's solutions combine artificial intelligence, cultural and human understanding to help clients with strategy, innovation and execution. The company was launched in 2008 as a community panels specialist, and later added a specialism in cultural intelligence. Last year it announced it was relaunching to emphasize its focus on 'three intelligences': Artificial, Human and Cultural; and four practice areas: Insight Communities, Insight Consultancy, Culture & Futures and AI for Better Insight. The last is now known as Verve Intelligent Personas.

The CoLab 'movement' will be officially launched on 27th February, with more details to be announced then, but Verve describes it as 'a new model for sustainable research', aiming to interest and engage respondents in order to secure their long-term involvement.

Goddard (pictured) brings around twenty years of experience in insight roles. She joins from Savanta where she was a Senior Director, and previously spent a year at Zappi. Before this she spent five years at LivingLens / Medallia in Client Success and Account Director roles, after three years at SSI and earlier five at Research Now.

Verve founder and CEO Andrew Cooper says CoLab 'has the potential to be the biggest game changer in the research industry since the advent of online data collection 25 plus years ago, and telephone interviewing before that!'
