Milieu Hires CEO for UK Expansion
Following its hiring of a US leader earlier this week, MR and analytics platform Milieu Insight has appointed Kerry McLaren as its CEO in the UK. McLaren is another former YouGov exec, having led teams in the UK and MENA.
Singapore-based Milieu was launched in 2017 by former GfK and YouGov exec Gerald Ang, and raised around $7.5m in venture capital in two rounds, in 2019 and 2021. The firm's core platform is Canvas, which offers intuitive tools for survey design and distribution, analysis, data visualization and reporting, while 'Portraits' offers profiling data on Milieu's panel of more than two million Southeast Asian consumers. Yesterday DRNO reported that the company has appointed Ted Marzilli as President for the US market.
Mclaren will lead the company's drive into the UK, building client relationships and strategic partnerships. She brings more than twenty years of experience, most recently as Head of Commercial UK for YouGov, playing a key role in growing sales across divisions, including data products like Omnibus, BrandIndex and Profiles. She joined the firm in 2011 as a Business Development Manager, based in the UAE, and between 2014 and 2019 worked as Head of Data Services for MENA, India and Pakistan.
In addition to founder Ang, other former YouGov employees now at Milieu include Marzilli and Global CEO Sundip Chahal, and the firm is also in an exclusive partnership with research agency GSIQ, whose founders and Chairman are veterans of YouGov Sports.
'Kerry's deep industry expertise and knowledge of the UK research market make her the perfect choice to spearhead our UK expansion' says Chahal. 'Her experience in driving growth through working closely with clients to deliver on their actual requirements & her ability to identify the right solutions for them will play a crucial role as we continue to provide businesses with fast, actionable insights'.
