ACKWEST Buys Healthcare and Sensory Researcher Reckner

ACKWEST Group, the Florida-based tech-driven consumer insights and marketing services solutions firm set up a year ago by MR industry veterans Hugh Davis and Keith Price a year ago in Florida, has acquired healthcare and consumer research company J. Reckner Associates.

David RecknerACKWEST was former by Greenfield Online, reInvention and Critical Mix founders Davis and Price, with the stated intention of 'promoting companies which create uncorrupted, unbiased and human-verified data for reliable business intelligence'. The firm has taken a stake in first party data specialist TestSet, and last month acquired Toluna's Precision Sample unit.

Reckner was established in the 1990s, employs around 150 people and boasts an extensive and varied network of healthcare professionals including physicians, hospital executives and surgical centers. It also has in-depth experience of in-person and sensory research for consumer product testing and exploratory concept development, and prides itself on a flexible and collaborative approach.

The buy brings this expertise together with ACKWEST's technology and data-driven solutions.
