DJS Joins Verve and Basis in CoLab

UK agency DJS Research is the latest strategic partner for CoLab, the data quality and sustainable research initiative launched by insight agency Verve and full service agency Basis.

CoLab and logosCoLab aims to bring like-minded agencies, brands and consumers together to address what the backers call 'the growing respondent quality problem'. Members adhere to carefully managed guidelines in giving individuals from verified and trusted sources a 'respondent-first experience'; and the initiative also seeks new ways to engage members via innovative tools to drive engagement and obtain high-quality insights.

Employee-owned DJS works by building small teams of sector-focused experts, led by Directors closely involved with project design and delivery, and prides itself on flexible, tailored solutions. The firms say DJS 'bring[s] the traditional and undeniable quality of telephone and face to face research and recruitment, where all participants have been met and spoken with', and will help broaden the CoLab member representation with the addition of high quality members from its in-house Opinion Exchange panel, the majority of whom have been recruited through their own research interviews.

'We're very excited to be part of this collaboration between agencies working together to improve respondent quality' says DJS Research Chairman Danny Sims. 'We carry out thousands of CAPI and CATI interviews every month, and this provides us with the opportunity to recruit high quality respondents - respondents where we have 'seen the whites of their eyes' - to CoLab'.

Basis Group CEO Rune Mortensen comments: 'Our industry faces some long-term challenges in relation to respondent quality, especially for quant surveys... we are excited to work alongside other agencies to develop sustainable, long-term solutions in this space'.
