In Paris, data science and AI solutions firm Ekimetrics has announced the appointment of Eric Labaye as Chairman of its Supervisory Board. Labaye will work with company founder and President Jean-Baptiste Bouzige as it aims for 'hypergrowth' - tripling its workforce and revenues by 2028.
Ekimetrics combines tailored AI solutions with 'deep business knowledge' to help companies plan ahead and strengthen their competitiveness amid the rise of AI and sustainability. The firm employs some five hundred experts in data science, Marketing Mix Modeling and AI. Last year it opened a Shanghai office and appointed Christina Cen as General Manager in China.
Labaye (pictured) is a 33-year veteran of McKinsey & Company, and became the first French member of its global board (Shareholders Council) in 2005. He was Managing Director of the consulting company's France office, Chairman of the McKinsey Global Institute and a member of its Global Executive Committee, in charge of Knowledge and Communication. Currently the President of advisory firm IDEL Partners, he has also served (from 2018 to 2023) as Chairman and President of École Polytechnique and Institut Polytechnique de Paris, which he established and helped to achieve global recognition. He is a graduate in engineering of École Polytechnique and T élécom Paris, and holds an MBA with distinction from the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD).
Bouzige comments: 'We are extremely proud to welcome Eric Labaye to Ekimetrics. His ability to transform organizations and help them reach their full potential is undeniable. He will play a key role in our growth strategy, helping us secure strong competitive advantages at a time when AI players must prove their ability to drive differentiation and competitiveness for organizations.'
