Restructure and Senior Moves for Accenture

Global business services giant Accenture has announced a restructure and a number of top-level promotions. Its Song unit will join most of the others - Strategy & Consulting, Technology, and Operations - in a new integrated division called Reinvention Services, under current CEO of the Americas Manish Sharma.

Ndidi OtehThe changes are effective from September 1st, and will allow the company 'to create more leading solutions faster and embed data and AI more easily into its solutions and delivery.' Sharma will take the new title of Chief Services Officer. The group's current geographical and industry verticals splits will remain - the former consists of three regions, the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

The only unit not listed among those joining Reinvention Services is Industry X, which focuses on 'Digitizing what you make and revolutionizing how you make it.'

Song, which was known as Accenture Interactive until April 2022, is the division incorporating CX and analytics and into which most of the services juggernaut's many insight sector acquisitions are absorbed. The unit combines human and business insights with technology to deliver a systematic approach to designing, launching and scaling new products, services and customer / employee experiences. Under the new structure, it will be led as previously announced by Ndidi Oteh (pictured), currently Song's lead in the Americas: Oteh takes over from David Droga on 1st September.

John Walsh, currently the group's global COO, will replace Sharma as CEO of the Americas, and will himself be replaced by Kate Hogan, currently COO of the Americas. Within the new division the existing units will continue with their separate identities and will be led by Muqsit Ashraf (Group CEO, Strategy), Jason Dess (Group CEO, Consulting), Rajendra Prasad (Group CEO Technology and CTO), and Arundhati Chakraborty (Group CEO Operations).

According to Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, 'These changes to our growth model will allow us to deliver that value and continue to scale our business by being an even stronger engine of reinvention that more rapidly delivers the power of Gen AI. We are writing the playbook for how to be the most AI-enabled, client-focused professional services company in the world and a great place to work for our people - our reinventors.'
