Synovate Buys in Belgium
Synovate has acquired Belgium-based Columbus Quanti, a medium sized quant agency with offices in Ghent, employing around 40 staff and known for work in the telecoms, FMCG, finance, and public utility sectors.
Columbus Quanti was founded in 1996 and has averaged annual growth of c.25% for the past 5 years. It has particular strengths in researching stakeholder management, branding and advertising, segmentation, category management, pricing, and concept and product development.
Columbus Quanti will be integrated with Synovate's existing research businesses in Belgium, including Synovate Censydiam, specialists in the psychology of brand / consumer relationships. Hans Raemdonck, MD and founder of Columbus Quanti, will become MD of the enlarged Synovate Belgium business. Jan Callebaut will become Chairman of that business, alongside his global role as CEO of the Synovate Censydiam research practice.
