Ciao Moves into Eastern Europe
Internet based data collection specialist Ciao has launched a new proprietary online panel, Access: Poland, providing researchers with respondents for both consumer and business to business studies. The 25,000 strong panel is already the largest of its kind in Poland, but recruitment is continuing.
Poland has a population of 38 million and a fast GDP growth rate of 4-5% predicted for 2005 and 2006. Ciao MD Gunnar Piening says the 'overwhelming response' to initial marketing campaigns took his team by surprise. 'We employ local language panel community managers and the feedback from our Polish panelists is very positive. This bodes well for the development of nationally representative panels elsewhere in Central and Eastern Europe'.
Ciao's existing panels are in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the USA. All profiles are internationally standardized allowing pre-screening for pan-national projects on 300+ criteria including demographics, health, lifestyle and automotive information.
