Synovate Appoints GM for Slovakia
Synovate has appointed its first General Manager for Slovakia. Antje Van Essen has 11 years' MR experience including 7 years with Unilever in Romania, where she was Head of Market Research.
She also worked in research in Poland, and the Netherlands Trade Office in Taiwan. Most recently managed her own MR business in Serbia. She holds a Masters degree in Communication Science from the University of Amsterdam.
Michalis Michael, Synovate MD for Central Europe and Russia, says the company is committed to making inroads in the Slovak market by boosting its local business development efforts. 'Although we have conducted fieldwork in Slovakia since 1993, we have now upgraded to a full-service office in Bratislava with its own management and client service staff'.
