RI Directors Form New Agency
Three UK-based Directors of Research International are leaving to found a new agency, Engage Research. Deborah Sleep, Marie Sutton and Lyndsay Peck all held senior roles in what was the Consumer Division until the restructuring of Dec 2004. All three have a focus on consumer & market strategy and innovation research.
Sleep has around twenty years' MR experience, and has been at RI for the past six, latterly as Deputy MD of the UK Consumer Division. Prior to that she spent almost 15 years working in a leading Belgian MR agency. Her specialisms include U&As, segmentation, branding issues concept screening, concept and product testing. Her career has spanned many sectors from household care to postal services, but recently has focused on international fmcg.
Sutton has 13 years' experience, 10 of which were spent progressing from Research Exec to Global Client Director at RI. She has worked on a variety of blue chip fmcg clients in very diverse markets, from mobile phones to soft drinks. She worked previously worked for an agency in Manchester, and started her career in Belgium at the same agency as Sleep.
Peck, who joins the other two on leaving RI at the end of the week, also has around thirteen years in MR, all of them at RI. She worked in the telephone centre and buying & co-ordination functions before joining the UK Consumer Division.
Sleep says the three are 'genuinely passionate about research' and will be collaborating to bring their collective experience to bear on everything they do. 'Our clients won't end up seeing seniors topping and tailing projects, leaving juniors to deal with all the details, nor will they find themselves talking to an experienced consultant who has not been immersed in the detail of the research'.
The agency's web site is up and running at www.engage-research.com.
