Launch of the Indie Intelligence Council

In the UK, trade body the Alliance of Independent Agencies has partnered with consumer data giant Experian to launch the 'Indie Intelligence Council', a new initiative to support independent agencies navigate the evolving landscape of AI, data, identity and marketing technology.

Terry MartinThe Alliance represents the independent agencies it says make up around 99% of the population of c.25,000 active agency businesses in the UK - across a variety of sectors and disciplines. New partner Experian works across consumer data, anti-fraud and other services and employs around 25,200 people across 33 countries, with its corporate headquarters these days in Dublin, Ireland.

The new Council will bring together senior leaders from across the independent agency community, alongside industry experts and technology partners, to discuss key issues, provide expert insight and share learning. Experian's expertise will help members apply capabilities in data identity and audience intelligence. The Council's creation has been driven by demand for practical guidance on topics such as AI adoption, audience intelligence and measurement, data infrastructure, and future operating models, in the ever-faster-moving tech environment.

More than 30 Alliance members are already signed up to work with the Council, whose inaugural session on 15th July will feature Tony Katsur, CEO of IAB Tech Lab and Alisdair Newman, Director, Advertiser Solutions, Marketplaces EMEA at PubMatic, speaking on practical applications of agetic tech.

According to Terry Martin, MD of the Alliance of Independent Agencies, 'Independent agencies have always thrived through their agility, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to adapt. But the pace of change across AI, data and marketing technology means no individual organisation has all the answers. The Indie Intelligence Council creates a space where leaders can come together to share experiences, learn from experts and collectively explore the issues that will shape the future of our industry.'
