Nielsen Veteran is New NetRatings Regional MD
NetRatings has announced the appointment of Forrest L. Didier as MD of its Asia Pacific - Latin America region, effective 2 May. A Nielsen employee for 23 years, Didier played a key role in developing the company's Internet measurement business in the early days of ACNielsen eRatings.com.
He will be based in Sydney and report to William Pulver, President and CEO, NetRatings.
In the '80s and '90s, Dider held senior-level positions in Mergers and Acquisitions, Global Marketing, and Corporate Planning and Development with ACNielsen Corporation in the US. In 1999, he moved to Hong Kong as Executive Director of ACNielsen Media International and ACNielsen eRatings.com (now Nielsen//NetRatings). He joins NetRatings from Nielsen Media Research International where he had been MD Asia Pacific since 2001.
Didier, who holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University, says his key challenges in the new role will be to continue growing all areas of the business and to capitalise on the multiple growth opportunities in emerging Internet markets.
