Lumivero Adds AI to NVivo
In the US, research and decision software firm Lumivero has announced the launch of NVivo AI Cloud, an AI-native version of its qual analysis software NVivo, powered by its AURA research assistant.
 Headquartered in Denver, CO, Lumivero operates globally across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. The firm provides software for the analysis of structured and unstructured data, as well as survey research and data collaboration solutions, and in 2024 acquired two firms, Risk Decisions Limited and computer-assisted analysis specialist ATLAS.ti.
AURA (AI-powered Unified Research Assistant) is a family of AI agents that can set up a research project, follow proven research methodology, identify key topics across sources, and build and maintain an ongoing codebook as new data arrives. AURA links every finding it surfaces back to the exact source data that generated it, awaiting researcher approval before it enters the analytical record.
Lumivero says this gives time-strapped researchers 'AI support without giving up the chain of evidence a defensible study requires.' Many of its clients are in the academic world, where sufficient rigor is required to meet the standards of institutional review boards, grant reporting and academic publication. NVivo AI Cloud has been built with this audience in mind, in addition to social science and market researchers across government, healthcare, and professional services.
