Caribbean Statistician Joins ORC
ORC International has appointed Nicola James as a Technical Consultant in its Statistics Department. James worked previously for the Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN).
In her three years at STATIN, she was responsible for collating, analysing and producing economic and social data to aid government decision making - this included co-ordination questionnairesfor the country's Business Survey, designing sample frames and analysing quarterly GDP data. She was also involved in long-term trend analysis of economic data for Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica and The British Virgin Islands, creating statistical and econometric models.
She holds a BSc (Hons) in Business, Economics and Social Statistics and an MSc Statistics and Management Science, and is a member of the Royal Statistical Society.
