Ipsos Reports Robust Growth
Ipsos has announced results for the first quarter of 2005, with revenues up 12.9% including organic growth of 8.2%. All regions and business lines contributed, with Asia Pacific and Middle East, and advertising research particularly strong.
First quarter 2005 revenues were EUR 143.5m, or 8.2% at constant scope and exchange rates. Currency effects had a negative impact of 1.6%, while changes to the scope of consolidation had a positive impact of 6.3%.

The company notes that after slightly slower growth in Q4 2004 the figures are particularly promising. Q1 2004, on which comparisons are based, was an 'outstanding' quarter itself. Most business lines contributed to the rise, with Media research 'stable', opinion and social research up by double digits after a decline in 2004, and healthy growth in marketing research and CRM. Advertising research continues to thrive - up c.15%. All regions fared well with Asia -Pacific and the Middle East especially strong.

Ipsos says the market remains persistently buoyant and could expand by over 5% in 2005, with online production and geographical extensions keys to strategy. Ipsos will adopt IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) this year, which it says will have a 'positive overall impact on the Group's net profit and shareholders' equity'.
