RI and TNS Appoint in Asia
Research International (RI) has appointed Serene Wong to the new position of CEO for South Asia, while Brooke Courtenay becomes MD for Thailand, and Rosalynn Tang is the new MD for Singapore. Also in Asia, TNS has hired Marie Lee for the newly created position of Director, Asia Pacific Global Accounts.
Wong has ten years' senior management experience, including working as MD for Singapore for the last three years. In her new role, she will help manage the work of the Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia offices. Tang, who is taking up Wong's old position, has been a Director with RI in Singapore for six years.
Courtenay has been with RI for 13 years, gaining experience in both MR and management. He has worked in the UK, China and Singapore and, for the past four years, has been a Research Director in Bangkok. Napapak Chaliewpod, newly appointed as Business Director for the Thai office, will work closely with Courtenay to lead the new management team in Thailand.
Heather Payne, CEO for RI, Asia Pacific, says the moves are intended to strengthen the company's management infrastructure in Asia.
The new Director role at TNS will involve responsibility for global clients based in Bangkok, Singapore and India. Lee, who was previously General Manager of the TNS Makati office in the Philippines, will now be based in Bangkok. Her first position with the company in 1993 was also in Bangkok, where she remained before transferring to Makati in 1996.
