Utilities Specialist Hired to Market RKS Services
US utilities specialist RKS Research & Consulting has hired Richard Comerford, an experienced energy industry executive, as VP, marketing. He is charged with expanding the range and depth of the company's services, and seeking a broader base of clients.
Comerford most recently worked as Chief Planning and Finance Officer at Colorado Springs Utilities, a large water, wastewater, electric and gas municipal utility. He joined the company as Director of Marketing and Communications in 2000 and subsequently took on responsibilities for all finance, treasury, risk management, and corporate planning functions.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than 20 years at Public Service Electric and Gas, Newark, NJ in various positions, rising to General Manager in Corporate Planning by the time of his departure in 1994. He has also led marketing and sales for two deregulated energy services companies, first as Regional Director at Pennzoil's PennUnion Energy in Houston, then as VP at PG&E Energy Services in San Francisco.
David J. Reichman, RKS chairman and CEO, says Cornerford brings with him 'a breadth of accomplishments that touch on all facets of the energy and natural resources industries', and hopes his skills and contacts will enable the company to develop new business relationships.
