New VP To Steer TNS India Automotive Research
TNS India has appointed Pradeep Rai Saxena as Senior VP to oversee its automotive division. Saxena's 23-year career includes experience in both MR and the Indian automotive industry.
He previously worked as General Manager, Marketing at Hyundai and also spent almost ten years as Head of Marketing at Hero Honda. Prior to that, he handled MR for Group 1 Automotive (GPI), and has also run his own MR business. He has an MBA from the University of Delhi, and is also a spokesperson for the university's Faculty of Management Studies.
Gautam Nath, Executive VP at TNS India, states that automotive is one of the fastest growing sectors in India, and says Saxena brings 'senior-level industry orientation, therefore allowing valuable research recommendations to our important automotive clients'.
Saxena explains the potential for MR in this sector: 'Unlike many other industries, the automobile industry offers multiple touch points with the customer on account of mandatory after sales service. This provides a unique opportunity to marketers to develop a deeper understanding of their customers' needs by collecting relevant information at those moments.'
