Cymfony Adds Chief Marketing Officer
US media analysis and business intelligence firm Cymfony has appointed Jim Nail, formerly principal analyst at Forrester Research, as the company's first Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. It also appointed Ted Crouch as VP of Engineering.
Nail's career spans market research, online marketing, brand advertising and direct marketing. He was at Forrester for eight years, focusing on how marketing strategies must adapt to technology-driven changes in media consumption.
Prior to Forrester, he helped launch web advertising network AdSmart, where he worked as Director of Marketing. Previously he worked on integrated marketing campaigns at ad agencies including Ogilvy & Mather Direct, Draft Worldwide, Bates USA and Hill Holliday.
Cymfony CEO Andrew Bernstein says Nail's understanding of consumer behaviour and integrated marketing will help clients 'realise the business benefits of understanding and analyzing word of mouth marketing, corporate perception monitoring, and strategic benchmarking'.
Cymfony's business intelligence solutions are powered by InfoXtract technology, an information extraction and analysis engine used by US government and intelligence agencies. The company is online at www.cymfony.com.
